Services

I practice integrative counselling, which involves using various therapeutic techniques based on an individual's needs. I consistently prioritise core conditions such as respect, empathy and unconditional positive regard in all my counselling sessions.

  • Depression

Depression is a debilitating mental health condition characterized by persistent feelings of intense sadness and loss of interest in life. It can have significant emotional, cognitive and physical effects on all aspects of life.

  • Stress

Stress is the body's response to various challenges, both positive and negative. It can lead to physical symptoms like headaches and emotional issues such as anxiety. Chronic stress can harm physical and mental health, including heart problems and depression.

  • Anxiety

Anxiety is a common mental health condition characterised by excessive worry, fear, and heightened stress responses. It can manifest as physical symptoms, including restlessness, rapid heartbeat, and muscle tension. Anxiety can be triggered by various stressors or occur without an apparent cause. It may interfere with daily life and well-being.

  • Grief

Grief is a natural and emotional response to loss, typically characterised by feelings of sorrow, sadness, and mourning. It is a universal human experience that can be triggered by various types of loss, such as the death of a loved one, the end of a significant relationship, or other life-altering changes. Grief can manifest both emotionally and physically, and it is a unique process for each individual.

  • Trauma

Trauma is a psychological and emotional response to a distressing or life-threatening event. It can lead to a range of emotional, cognitive, and physical symptoms, including flashbacks, nightmares, anxiety, and avoidance behaviours. Trauma can result from various experiences such as accidents, abuse, natural disasters or combat.

  • Low self-esteem

Low self-esteem is a psychological condition characterised by a negative self-perception and a lack of self-worth. Individuals with low self-esteem often harbour self-critical thoughts and doubt their abilities and value. This condition can be influenced by various factors, including past experiences and societal pressures. Low self-esteem can manifest in behaviours such as seeking approval from others, avoiding challenges, and experiencing heightened self-doubt.

  • Relationship problems

Relationship problems encompass a wide range of challenges and conflicts that can arise between individuals in interpersonal connections. These issues can stem from communication breakdowns, differences in values or expectations, unresolved conflicts, or external stressors. They may affect various types of relationships, including romantic, family, and friendships.

  • Addiction

Addiction is a complex and chronic condition characterised by the compulsive use of a substance or engagement in a behaviour despite negative consequences. It often leads to physical, psychological, and social harm. Addiction can involve substances like drugs or alcohol, as well as behaviours such as gambling or excessive internet use. It typically results from a combination of genetic, environmental and psychological factors.

  • Anger Management

Anger management issues refer to difficulties in controlling and/or expressing anger in a healthy and appropriate manner. Individuals with these issues may experience frequent, intense, or prolonged anger that interferes with their daily lives and relationships. These problems can lead to harmful behaviour, emotional distress and negative consequences.
